Our Lady of Mercy College (OLMC) is seeking a passionate and engaging Geography Teacher to join our HSIE team on a part-time basis for Terms 3 and 4, 2026.

The opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for an educator who can inspire young minds to understand the world around them, foster curiosity about global issues, and create meaningful learning experiences. You will bring experience teaching Geography across Stages 4 to 5, with a demonstrated ability to deliver engaging coursework aligned with the syllabus. Your teaching practice will encourage critical thinking, while your ability to provide timely and constructive feedback will support student reflection, growth, and continuous improvement. The primary purpose of this role is to nurture the gifts and talents of each student ensuring that our Catholic practices and Mercy Values underpin all aspects of life in the school.




What are we looking for?

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and approval with current NESA accreditation to teach courses in NSW.
  • Experience teaching Geography across Stages 4 and 5, with demonstrated alignment with relevant curriculum requirements.
  • Demonstrated capacity to critically reflect on and adapt teaching practice to enhance student learning outcomes.
  • Ability to foster a supportive and engaging environment that promotes effective student learning.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organisational, administrative, and collaborative skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the teaching needs of the College.
  • Commitment to actively supporting and participating in the life of the College, including its Catholic mission and Mercy values.
  • Willingness to contribute to the co-curricular life of the College (with no regular weekend sporting commitments).
  • Current Working with Children Check clearance.
